My son loves this truck. I bought it for him for his 2nd birthday. It was simple to put together everything was in the box and labeled perfect. My only problem was the battery we charged it just like it said to and it only worked for 5 minutes so I called the company and they sent me a new battery. Now he plays for hours. It only lasts about an hour in the grass so we just bought a back up battery and they arn't but $30. So it was very worth it. And to see his face light up when we go outside to play with his truck is priceless!!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Not bad but needs a bit more power .....

I bought this for my son for his birthday in 2009. We ordered from a store but when it arrived it was not as pictured on the website, pieces were missing, a sheet of stickers was missing and the battery was dead and non-chargeable. We returned it and went to another store, assuming it was a fluke. Bought the truck from another store, brought it home. Tried the battery before assembling and it took a charge. Found out the same pieces were missing. (Turns out there was a change in design but no one updated the websites, the missing pieces were no longer included and were unavailable.) Once assembled my son loved it, but the battery when brand new only functioned for about 40 minutes when driven on smooth concrete. The running time went downhill from there. Now after 10 months the battery is completely dead and won't take a charge at all. These batteries are DANG expensive, so if you do not feel the batteries are performing well make sure you contact Fisher-Price within the 6 month battery warranty. As for power, if running on grass and you are not in a completely flat area, the tires spin and it must be pushed.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
