I have purchased two of these pots. The first lasted one year almost to the day. The second one lasted six months. I thought the first pot was just a fluke and it did brew good coffee. But the second pot quite working just like the first. I make a pot of coffee a day. I would think the product should last longer. It wasn't overused or mistreated.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      I prefer percolated coffee over drip, and this pot started out great. We've had this for maybe three months and noticed for the past 3-4 weeks that the coffee was not as hot as it had been. Yesterday, the outside of the pot was lukewarm to the touch, and the coffee was barely warm. This morning, it brewed lukewarm light brown water. Not acceptable to spend that much money on something that stops working in less than 16 weeks. I remember my mother had an electric percolator that lasted for years. This is not that percolator. Very disappointed.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
