I am an adult student and recived this as a christams present in 2011. I had a my friend matt put it together for me. He is pretty able when it comes to putting furniture such as this togther. Upon opening the box he was astounded at the shear amount of work required to assemble it.The instructions say the project will take half a day. However having done projects like this several times before it took him under two hours.

Some things the picture don't show. The hutch is free floating. Meaning it is not attached to the desk in anyway. Nor does it come with peices to attach it. However, I have the back of my desk against the wall so it is not an issue. I would caution anyone buying this product against leaving it in the open without attaching the hutch first. Because it seems to move freely.

The construction seems solid and the finish (black) looks nice.

The rounded pieces that go on the hutch can go side by side or on seperate ends of the hutch. They can be easily rearranged as they are just held in with spokes. So I have mine side by side and my printer on one side.

The drawers on the hutch are smaller than I would like. But this is a nice desk for a bedroom or small office.

All the pictures appear to be an accurate representation of the item. However, The last picture featuring the white Mac computer confuses me. The actual product has a rounded wooden divider in the direct center of the desk (shown in other pictures) So that computer would be so far forward it would be uncomfortable and may look awkawrd.

Fits my laptop and printer nicely.
