Enfamil Gentlease Lipil Milk-Based Infant Formula - Powder - 1 Can (22.2 oz)

1 Can = 22.2 oz (629 g); Milk-Based Infant Formula for Babies with Fussiness or Gas - Iron fortified - Powder. For babies 0-12 Months. Makes 88 fl oz. A blend of DHA and ARA - nutrients found in breast milk. Partially broken down proteins. Lipil is a blend of the nutrients DHA (17 mg/100 calories) and ARA (34 mg/100 calories). DHA and ARA are also naturally found in breast milk and are important building blocks for a baby's brain and eyes. Experts agree on the many benefits of breast milk. If you choose to use infant formula, ask your doctor which Enfamil formula is best for your baby. Enfamil Gentlease Lipil is an easy-to-digest infant formula that has been partially broken down cow's milk proteins and reduced lactose (approximately 1/4 the lactose of a full-lactose, routine milk-based formula). It's easy-to-digest, balanced nutrition for baby's first 12 months.

Ingredients: Corn Syrup Solids, Partially Hydrolyzed Nonfat Milk And Whey Protein Concentrate Solids, Vegetable Oil (Palm Olein, Soy Coconut, And High Oleic Sunflower Oils), And Less Than 2% Mortierella Alpina Oil, Crypthecodinium Cohnii Oil, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D3, Vitamin E Acetate, Vitamin K1, Thiamin Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6 Hydrochloride, Vitamin B12, Niacinamide, Folic Acid, Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Ascorbic Acid, Choline Chloride, Inositol, Calcium Carbonate, Calcium Phosphate, Magnesium Phosphate, Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Phosphate, Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Cupric Sulfate, Sodium Hydroxide, Potassium Hydroxide, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Selenite, Taurine, And L-Carnitine.
Your baby's health depends on carefully following the instructions. Ask your baby's doctor about the need to use cooled, boiled water for mixing and the need to boil clean utensils, bottles and nipples in water before use.
Directions: 1. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before preparing formula. 2. Pour desired amount of water into the bottle. Add powder. 3. Cap bottle and shake well. Let bottle sit 5 minutes.
To make 2 fl. oz bottle use 2 fl. oz water and 1 unpacked level scoop (8.7 g) powder. To make 4 fl. oz. bottle use 4 fl. oz. water and 2 unpacked level scoops (17.4 g) powder. To make 8 fl. oz. bottle use 8 fl. oz. water and 4 unpacked level scoops (34.8 g) powder. Each scoop adds about 0.2 fl. oz to the amount of prepared formula. Makes 173 fl. oz.
Failure to follow these instructions could result in severe harm. Once prepared, infant formula can spoil quickly. Either feed immediately or cover and store in refrigerator at 35-40°F for no longer than 24 hours. Do not use prepared formula if it is unrefrigerated for more than a total of 2 hours. Do not freeze prepared formula. After feeding begins, do not refrigerate feeding bottle. You must use within 1 hour or discard.
Powder storage: Store cans at room temperature. After opening can, keep tightly covered, store in dry area and use contents within 1 month. Do not freeze powder and avoid excessive heat.

I cannot say enough great things about this product!!! It is absolutely amazing! I mean I would pay $50 to $100 dollars a can if I had to. I gave birth to my son 9 weeks ago and have gone through perpetual hell until I found this product.

I tried to breast feed in the hospital, but my son had jaundice and had to stay in the hospital for a few more days after I left. I was stuggling with it before that so needless to say I got frustrated and gave up. While in the hospital I was supplementing with Enfamil Premium Lipil, but he couldn't keep it down and hardly ate any to begin with. So I told the nurses that I thought he may have a lactose intolerance and they put him on Nutramigen Lipil. He seemed to do better, while he was in the hospital, but once he came home you could tell he was in serious discomfort after eating and would cry for hours. I told my pediatrician and she put him on Enfamil ProSobee Soy. After a week or so nothing had changed, so I put him on Similac Alimentum. No change. In fact he was even more fussy than before. So then I tried Enfamil Lactofree. It worked great and he was a lot less gassy, but I knew it had been discontinued so I went to find an alternative. I switched him to Similac Sensitive. But after a few weeks he got so constipated I had to give him an enima. I had given up and the pediatricians weren't listening. I could tell he was still in so much pain. I had seen the ads for Gentlease, but I was scared to try it because I had already changed his formulas so much. But I told myself this was the last time. I switched him to Enfamil Gentlease two weeks ago and saw an immediate change. He is no longer in pain after he eats. He's not constipated although he does pass gas a whole lot more. At least it's leaving his body, before it would just build up. His stool is a little runny, but not painful to pass like before. To sum it up all of his issues disappeared.

I am so happy that I tried this formula. Now I can just sit him in a chair and play with him. Before I tried Enfamil Gentlease I couldn't put him down for a second. He is the happiest two month old that I have ever seen. I can't even believe he's the same baby. He smiles constantly and coos at everyone. His is such a pleasure to be around now. And he sleeps so much better. His stomach pain used to wake him up screaming and he would wake up every 45 minutes to hour and a half. And it would take another hour and a half of screaming to put him back down. Last night he actually slept from 9:30pm until 4:45am. And then went back to sleep again after his bottle and got up for good at 8:30 in the morning. I am so happy he is feeling better!!! I actually have tears in my eyes right now. I didn't think anything would relieve his stomach problems. Now I can actually enjoy my son. I WANT to spend time with him all day everyday, and just laugh and coo with him. He is my absolute favorite person to be around now that he's not miserable. I am absolutely thrilled!!!

I would hug the creators of Enfamil if I could. I owe all of my happiness to them and I am completely in their debt. If your baby is fussy, in obvious pain and you think he/she has a lactose allergy, please try this product. It was the answer to all my prayers!!!

New Enfamil Packaging what an IDEA! Not!

I must be missing something here! Why are you changing the packaging? The new packaging is extremely uneasy & user unfreindly. Plus you have increased the prices Oz per Oz for the new box. Are we supposed to empty the pouch in the box? there is no specific instructions! is the box air tight so there is no bacteria contaminating the content? whoever has designed this package does not know anything about having babies and feeding them. Most importantly as many of parents here will testify, when you have a screeming baby in your arm you have only one hand to work with, so how the h... you can open this box and then open the pouch inside??? Who cares for the new design! We were as happy with the old box design. Most supermarkets do not have the separate refills anyway, so we end up buying new packages; where is the saving of the environment there? And where is our savings specially in this hard economic times? To recap I think this new Idea is a Scham to increase the prices and ridiculous to say the least and if you think I am missing something here I am all ears; enlighten me!!

Our daughter was born "tongue tied" a condition where the membrane under her tongue had grown to the tip and she couldn't push her tongue over her bottom gums to nurse properly. So we were forced to bottle feed from day one! (Until a surgeon could clip the membrane). We started out with the Newborn formula after feedings our daughter was fussy, crying, angry and all around just not happy. We thought colic! A friend suggested over the phone she may be gassy, luckily I was in the grocery store at the time walking down the baby isle and saw this product. I got it thinking "it couldn't get any worse!" After the FIRST FEEDING!!!! All the fussiness, crying, anger and all around just not happy baby that we knew after feedings was no more!!!! Our daughter went back and forth to this and breastfeeding (after the membrane was snipped) until she was about 4 months where we switched to another Enfamil product. I will be reviewing that as well! We are happy with Enfamil and will stick with them as long as formula is needed!

We switched to Gentlease after using Enfamil premium Infant and Enfamil AR with my 2 month old daughter. She had been very fussy every evening for 3+ hours. Was hardly ever awake and not fussy. Not screaming, just fussy. Our pediatrician recommended to try Enfamil AR for reflux, it didn't help at all. So, we switched to Gentlease and we have a happy, smiling baby now!

This specific formula is amazing. Nothing was working for my newborn baby. He was crying around the clock and had a constant upset tummy and gas that wouldn't come out unless we proped his legs up and pushed his knees into his tummy. We took him to the doctor several times and then she suggested this type of formula. After he had it I would say less then 24 hours he was a whole different baby. He was all smiles and not the fussy upset baby that he had been for weeks. He's 6 months old now and hitting early milestones. I recommend this type to anyone who has a baby with an upset tummy!! Its designed specifically for sensitive tummys :) almost forgot the gas will come out a lot.....I think its cute and funny lol.

My now 6 yr old left the hospital on similac he came home and did fine about 2 days later it started he was major constipated switched to gentle ease and he was on it untill 11 months when he when to whole milk. My 4 month old came home on the gentle ease she did great, I am in texas and on WIC they don't offer enfamil any more there contract is with similac so they told me to slowly switch her over due to them not having a contract with enfamil anymore I was reluctant but tryed anyway my daughter then stopped drinking the new formula once I completly transitioned she lost weight and major fussy. I said i dont care I went and bought somemore gentle ease she is now a happy thriving baby normal bowel movements along with gaining excellent weight I would refer this formula to any and everybod love it.

I nursed both of my kids exclusively until about 3-4 months old then started supplimenting w/ formula to prepare them for my return to work. As soon as we introduced formula they both became very gassy. The Gentlease was a great solution for both of them. They has some gas of course, but they were no longer in visible pain!

I was unable to breastfeed and we I tried every formula out there. When the doctor put my son on Gentlease it was the best thing every. We both were able to see at night, he was not fussy and crying anymore. We stop having problems with his stool. This is really a great product!
