My son was born at 23w2d in December 2012. We started using Enfacare in the NICU to supplement mother's milk. We have been using a combination and he has been gaining weight well. From 1 pound, 6 ounces at birth to 17.5 pounds at 1 year! My only complaint revolves around cost and availability. The small can size is frustrating because it feels like we are ALWAYS buying it. Sometimes we have to travel to several stores because the few that have it tend to run out. And even though I signed up to receive promotional materials from Enfamil, all my coupons have come from friends. While this formula has worked well for my son, I'm anxious for him to move off of it in a few months when he reaches 1 year adjusted age.

It's horrible that Enfamil does not provide Enfacare in a larger container. The coupons that are in the paper or that are available are only for the larger container formulas. Most parents that have their children on this formula have had preemies and are likely find it difficult to manage the financial burden along with trying to give their child the proper formula.

Comments about Enfamil EnfaCare Lipil Milk-Based Infant Formula - Powder - 1 Can (12.8 oz):

My baby was born a micro preemie at 29weeks with 2lb 11oz, tiny little thing. But now at 4 months old he looks like a normal little baby, he loves this formula and since he was at the NICU they have been giving it to him, now he's a healthy 11lb and growing baby boy!

I used this product after finding it in a small grocery store .It really helped my premature baby who was not breast fed from birth. he gained about 3 lbs ater is first doctor visit. The was 34 weeks and weighed 5 lbs 6 oz at birth, he is now m months and about 11 lbs .one thing though he feed on demand although he is now breast feeding and the formular seems like it is not satisfying him . I am now looking for a heavier formular in the enfamil brand to give him

Comments about Enfamil EnfaCare Lipil Milk-Based Infant Formula - Powder - 1 Can (12.8 oz):

My son was born at 36 weeks and he weighed 5lbs. 10oz. Over the next week and a half he dropped down to 4lbs. 11oz. I was breast feeding like crazy but he just wasn't gaining the weight so the doctor had us start supplementing with Enfamil© Enfacare. After 3 weeks on the formula he has gone from 4lbs. 11iz. to 7lbs. 8oz. This formula is honestly amazing and the pediatrician says that he's extremely impressed with Ryland's weight gain. He's now in the 94th percentile for his age.

Our son is now 3 weeks but he was born at 34 weeks and stayed in the nicu for the first two weeks. He was 4 pounds 11oz and lost 2-3 oz every day... He was getting breast milk but then he got put on this formula and stopped loosing but did not gain ether. Then he got put back on breast milk but with 1/2 tsp of this formula added to every 45cc. He is now gaining 2oz a day! We are all very happy. He just seams to be gassy as he grunts and grunts and then juts a lot of farts out. has about 10-14 diapers a day too but the doc. is happy with everything so :)

My daughter drank this formula in the NICU (ready made) and we kept her going on it. She is now 5 months and has caught up in everything, weight, height, everything. I owe this to God and Enfamil Enfacare. The only issue is, she only likes the ready-made but it is very scarce in the stores.
