Worst Vacuum Ever!!!!!! Needs to be reset every five minutes, dyson help desk was no help, told us we needed to pay to have a brand new vacuum, that we haven't even owned for a day, fixed at our own expense... complete waste of money, going back to our old brand.

Does a great job of picking up fur (and we have four shedding pets). LIke the way it maneuvers easily and fits under cabinets, etc. Love the ability to take apart and clean easily, with good online instructions. BUT, a few things Dyson really needs to fix:1) cord is incredibly short, you can't vaccuum one room without moving to another outlet, 2) the button that turns off the brush broke after two months, and is already sticking again after replaced. 3) the tubing is also very short so hard to use the attachments. Dyson seems committed to good products, hope they will fix these things for next version.

I like the ease of use as opposed to dragging around a canister. The ball, however, does not allow you to vacuum under beds. It is too high. One problem the engineers didn't think about is inside the dust canister the beehive gray filter tends to block up with dust. Some tool should be included to brush out the dust. Used a toothbrush. One would think that for this kind of money someone would have thought of a way to clean that section rather than using a toothbrush. One would also think that the suction they claim the vac has would pull the dust through.

I have waited for years to buy a Dyson vacuum...finally convinced myself that it was worth the money. I have mixed feelings about it. I love how it cleans, fantastic suction, easy to empty filter, very lightweight and love the low profile head as it fits under cabinets & furniture wonderfully. However, I dislike the attachment set up; the tool handle (hard tube part that the tools attach to) is way too long. Its about 4 feet long which makes it very clumsy to manage, especially in smaller spaces. I miss the headlight from my previous vacuum. And most of all, I HATE how short the cord is. You pretty much have to unplug and replug it in for every room you vacuum (unless its a large room then you can't even complete that room) and it will not reach long enough for me to complete all of my stairs at once. This is a MAJOR disappointent and a HUGE pain in the you-know-what when trying to vacuum. As much as I love how well it vacuums, this really dampers my love for this vacuum.

This is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. I have lots of carpet in my house, two kids, and two cats. My kids are bad about removing their shoes when they come in, so there is a lot of debris on our carpets. This vacuum does a superior job in picking it up--I am amazed at how frequently I have to empty the cannister and know that this vacuum is picking up much more than others I have owned. Its light weight makes it very easy to maneuver. It's an excellent product and I will never use another brand of vacuum now that I have tried the Dyson.

The machine vacuume well. The only drawback I find is that the electrical card is much too short. Should be at least 6 more feet to avoid frequent stopping to plug into another outlet.

I recently purchased a Dyson DC24 Animal Vacuum. I purchased the vacuum used and I have to say that it is the best vacuum cleaner that I have ever owned. I have had trouble with vacuum cleaners not lasting in the past. I have a salon in my home and they tend to get clogged up. Well after trying many different brands including Hoover, Kenmore, Bissell, and Oreck, I decided to try the Dyson. It does a wonderful job and does not get clogged. It is lightweight but has more suction than the heavier vacuums. I will never buy another brand again. Thank you Dyson!

This machine is so easy to manuever, you won't believe it is actually working. Pulls hair out of the carpet that my shop vac had not been able to get. Well worth the extra few bucks it cost.

This machine is everything I ever wanted in a vacuum and more. I find that it IS all it is supposed to be!! The attachments and hose work fantastic!! Some have said that the hose is stiff and somewhat hard to use and I do NOT find this to be the case! I found this machine to be easy to put together and to use!! I will not own anything other than a Dyson again. I cannot say enough fantastic comments about this machine! Absolutely a great purchase!!!

My daughter has a Dyson ball and we tried it out on our new carpet and the old rug in the living room. We decided the DC24 was more appropriate for us as we have a dog that sheds and a cat. The vacuum came one week later and amazingly, when we vacuumed the living rug that we had previously vacuumed, the sand and dog hair that was pulled out was incredible. We also used the attachment to vacuum the couch cushions and again, lots of dog hair.
