Comments about Duraflame 10HM2273-W505 Livingston Infrared Electric Heater Walnut:

The Duraflame takes time to begin warming the room, so it is not going to be a quick fix when you are in & out of the office in just 5 minutes. Place this wherever you want to keep that part of the house warm. Give it 1 to 2 hours depending on the size of the room/area (like a large open basement) & this will keep a consistent, very comfortable soft heat. It doesn't have a heating element that needs to burn oxygen in order to work like most standard portable units, therefore breathing is more pleasant, comfortable and satisfying.

Here's how we use it at home. We keep ours on throughout the winter. We leave it on in the living room which is connected to the kitchen connected to the dining room which is connected to our front office and that room connects to the other side of our LR. It's basically a huge circle of rooms & this baby keeps all 4 rooms within a maximum of a 15 degree variance in all rooms. So 75 in the LR going down to perhaps going down to 60 at most all the way down to 60 back in the dining room. We normally don't have to turn on our central heat when we have the Duraflame going. Not bad for a relatively small box that is fighting with all of our sub-standard windows in a large house. We save a substantial amount throughout the winter using this when we can avoid turning on our central air.

Give it a try or just keep buying the same ole, low-efficient, oxygen burning, worry when you forget to turn it off if you leave the room etc etc... Standard heaters can heat 1 to possibly 2 rooms if you are lucky and you'll pay twice the amount in electric bills.

Comments about Duraflame 10HM2273-W505 Livingston Infrared Electric Heater Walnut:

I borrowed this from someone and it wouldn't even heat one small room! Buy a cheap one instead like a sunbeam for $25. The cheap ones will heat a whole house and are cheaper on the electric bill also.
