This is the worst buying experience I've ever had!!Right out of the box the remote didn't work. less than 2 weeks later the heater stopped oscillating.[...] I decided to just keep the heater and use it without the remote or oscillation [...] Now, one month after recieving this heater, it no longer heats.What a waste of time and money!!

I have bought at least a half a dozen parabolic heaters of various brands, including Presto and others. I use them every night and morning. Obviously I am a big fan of the concept, but some of the others have had problems eventually. This one from Meijer is at an outstandingly low price and has the remote as well. So far it all works but I have a couple of reservations. The low heat setting lights up the whole heater element at a low intensity, which is OK but it doesn't give much heat for 700 watts. The high setting lights up half of the heater element and gives an orange rather than red color. It works well but I had a previous heater that ran similarly hot and the coil eventually sagged and the temperature trip would go off constantly. So I am not sure how long this one will last. So far there is no sag, but it refused to turn on once, as if an internal temperature trip had gone off. [...]the unit looks fine with a quality feel, and the remote is a plus. The unit sells under several brand names and with the low price at Meijer, they were out of stock for quite a while.

This heater heats up my entire living room, no problem.. even the low settings is enough. It's quiet, comfortably warm and efficient.

I bought three heaters. All of them shut off after 20 min on high heat, or 90 min on low heat settings. Anyone else have this problem? I really like the heater if not for this problem. I ended up returning all three.
