    I purchased 2 of these chairs as a gift for my husband. He uses them (mainly) for tailgating at the football stadium, so they don't have to be carried far. He feels, however, that the weight is comparable to his old chairs, which were smaller. Carrying them to the field for soccer games/practice shouldn't be a problem. He has found the chairs to be very comfortable, and we are both happy to have chairs with a higher weight capacity--no more fear when the kids climb onto our laps!
