This is an awesome family cabin-style tent from Coleman; I expected to pay a lot more for the name, and have not been disappointed in the quality. Very easy to set up (as advertised), I even did it solo (although it took me around 15-20 minutes).
Prior to using it for a weekend trip to the local county park, I pitched it for the first time as a "dry" run in the backyard; several hours later, it became a "wet" run, as a severe summer thunderstorm hit with brisk winds and sheets of rain for almost an hour. As I watched from the inside, the downpour was easily shed by the overlap design, and the shape remained nice and rigid despite the wind gusts. Still, I wondered what I would find when the squall subsided, as it was heavy enough to partially flood the garden and back patio.
Much to my delight, the interior of the tent was completely dry; I couldn't detect even a single drop of water(which would have been easy to do, as there was nothing inside).
Our family (two adults, two children) have used the tent on a number of occasions over the past two months, and simply cannot find anything bad to say about it!
I'd highly recommend it for families and general camping, though it's obviously too large for backpacking or mountaineering.
A tremendous buy!

This is a great tent if your looking at car camping or for set up in your back yard. I love the instant up design. I had it up in 3 min from the time it left the bag to the time the last stake was in the ground. That's where the good ends. First, THERE IS NO RAINFLY WITH THIS TENT!!! You will have to have the windows up nice and tight with no air circulation during a rain storm. That made for a long, hot, humid night! The extra weight of the tent fabric I would LOVE if there was a fly but condemned the whole tent in the end. I recommend rigging a tarp over it so you can have the windows open a bit in the rain. There are only 2 little gear pockets on the inside to hold the little things for 8 people!?! There is no gear loft above and there is not even the little loops to purchase one to put in! All in all, this tent has potential but just isn't there yet. No fly, no gear storage or even an option for one are two things that put this as an average tent, although it is a cool concept with the pole design.

Can't believe there actually IS a tent that is easy to set up. May take a little more than 1 minute the first couple of times but not much more. Really love the way all the poles and built in. Have actually referred a couple of friends to this tent and they love it also.

    we use these tents for a week long concert festival with teenagers. quick and easy setup with little complexity since the poles are attached. pretty durable with the heavier canvas. great space. good for car camping. a bit hard to repack due to size and weight.

              Ever since the bank foreclosed on our house in December of 2010 we had to move out and take our things on the road. My wife and two kids needed a place to sleep so I bought this tent because I knew we had little choice. I must say that this was the best investment I ever made. I used to have a beautiful 3 bedroom house but the mortgage was unbareable and we really couldnt afford the basic necessities (water bill, electric bill, gas bill). This tent has no of those bills and its large and comfortable. We have put the tent up in various places and spent many nights in it and its very nice. I keep telling my kids we are camping until daddy can get a new job but its been rough. I hope things pick up soon but until then I wanted to thank Coleman for being there for us and providing us in this terrible economic time.
