My son, who is an excellent cook, had been complaining about making pancakes and could not get them all of equal size. Saw this product and it turned out to be the perfect solution and he has quit whining. Picked up an extra one for my daughter...now my kids have no excuses for not making their mama her favorite breakfast.

First two uses were traditional pancakes and I quickly learned that the mix needs to be quite runny in order to work well. The bottom of the batch will be slow to empty on the griddle since the slope of the bottom is shallow - gravity takes time.
The thicker batters will clog the opening and you will get leakage.
I will try it with muffins soon, I suspect that the thicker batter will not work as well as I hope.

      We have only used this twice, run it through the dishwasher twice, and it is already rusting out. Not what I would call restaurant grade construction, as the meijer.com description for this product states. I imagine if this were used in a restaurant kitchen, it would fall apart by the end of the day.

          I used it for pancakes and plan to use it for cupcakes. I can't make them without dribbling all across the pans. This was great for getting the batter right where I wanted it! It did leak a little after I set it down, I'd recommend putting it on a plate to catch the drips. Clean up was nice and easy but I did it right away before the batter dried.

                I always had batter dripping from the bowl to the griddle, but now with this new gadget, I don't have to worry about the messy clean up afterwards. And you know how that batter is by the time of clean up...very hard.

                My husband and son prepare pancakes for up to 50 people for our church canoe trip in a rustic campground. The dispenser worked very well. It saved time and made less mess then other methods we have tried. The leakage was handled by setting it on a plate. It did leak less if you only filled the dispenser 3/4's full. We even use a thin batter. For the price the product was a success.
