OK so I'm an avid griller but have spent my whole life using charcoal but find it incovenient sometimes when I want to cook just for myself, especially after work. Meijer had a "price drop" on this item and free shipping so it was a GREAT value. Gets superbly hot for only a 12,000 BTU single burner grill. This is my first go with a gas grill, so while it will take some cooking time adjustment from this avid charcoal fan, its also super convenient. Not the same taste as charcoal, but I knew this going in. Pretty straight forward assembly, took me about 1 hr 15 mins from start to finish. Fast shipping (and it was FREE!!!). As I mentioned previously, gets VERY hot. Preheated for 10 mins and the built in thermostat already pegged out at 650! Sears meats great!
Lots of metal components. We'll see how the finish on the kettle holds up. Charbroil has stepped up their game in recent years but I always remember them being kind of throw away grills in the past from friends that have had them. However, this one seems rather sturdy and well built. Its comparable in size to the Weber 18" standup charcoal grill so its the perfect size for my smaller patio and reasonably easy to move in and out of the garage. Could use a couple of sturdy handles to help when moving it around and its hard to tell when its lit as you can't really see the flame with the design of this grill, but its not a deal breaker for me. Overall, a solid value that I am pretty pleased with thus far.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
