    Comments about Cerwin-Vega 12-Inch XLS Series 3-Way Floor Speaker:

    Being a huge Cerwin Vega fan, the sounds of Black Sabbath or Pink floyd or say The Beatles coming out of these speakers were every "Cerwin" bit that I imagined they would be (more actually). I already own 2 pairs of CV full range speakers and let me tell you that these new XLS-12's did not disappoint. The XLS-12's use a 6.5" mid, a step up from the other CV's I own that have 5 1/4" mid drivers. That makes a huge difference as the XLS-12's have more headroom to reach the full range of mid frequencies compared to the 5 1/4" mids which always sounded cramped to me. The only drawback to the XLS-12's is the Bass frequencies wont go as low as my other CV's, due to the design of the cabinet which has a baffle between the Woofer and Mid drivers. However since i am using a sub-woofer this does not affect my sound system when I use the XLS-12's as my mains.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
