      While I did not enjoy putting this together (especially since the cats thought they had to help), it turned out fine and the cats seem to enjoy it. There's always one sleeping in it.

        My cats fought over this when I first brought it home, and now they barely look at it. It has become mostly a fancy scratching spot for them, or they sit on top of it. Not one of my four cats will sleep in it, and run out if I put them inside.

          This was an instant hit in our home. We have two cats, one of whom is very shy. She LOVES this cat bed because it gives her a dark, safe place to curl up. Our other cat loves to scratch on the roof of the cat bed but rarely goes inside.

          The materials are not high-quality, but seem fairly durable. The only downside I've seen yet is that after only one month, my larger, male cat has been able to pry part of the scratchy top material off the edge of the bed's roof. It is still 99% attached, though, and is intended to be clawed.

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            My cat is 9 years old. I have bought many different cat beds and "entertainment centers" for him but he never liked those. Until I bought this cat-eye bed. Wahoo~~ this is the first bed he actually sleeps in. No more sleeping on the couch and on our bed. What a wonderful cat bed! The eye-shape design is genius. I didn't see this design in local stores and markets. Thanks to Meijer, I got this perfect gift for my cat.
