I use this jacket when cutting firewood, working out in inclimate weather, plowing my quarted mile drive on an open tractor in a blizzard. The wind does not penetrate and I am always toasty warm. This is my 1st Carhartt jacket and I am hooked for life! The very best work coat I have ever owned! No wonder every construction professional wears them!

I purchased this for my fiance, planning to give it as a gift for Christmas. It got cold a lot sooner than expected, so I gave it to him early. He was so surprised and he LOVES it. He was working on our car, up underneath it on the cold cement and he was perfectly warm. He said it is the perfect size and it is easy to move around in it. I am so happy with my purchase! I chose standard shipping and it only took a day to get here! It took three days total with processing and shipping. Very happy!!!

I gave this to my son as a gift and he absolutely loves it. Now my whole family is wearing Carhartt this winter!

This is an excellent work jacket with a good solid feel to it.

The zipper is big and easy to grab. This comes in handy as you are going to get warm unless it is really cold outside.

So far it has only been in the 20's so I don't know how well it will work when it gets below zero. You can always layer though.

It doesn't have a flap over the zipper so if your facing a strong wind it can feel like some wind comes through the zipper. I did get a loose fit though, so that may be the real issue. If you're moving you're warm, If you're just standing, don't face the wind or layer.

This is a work jacket and you can't detach the hood, so if you don't like a hood get something else. I sometimes have to move the jacket hood out of the way of the headrest when driving.

Make sure you try one on in the store to get the fit you want.

The website states "Exclusively Online" but I bought mine in the (Meijer) store.

If your store doesn't have this one, the Duck Active Jacket (J140) is the same style. I like the Sandstone (J130), as the duck is stiffer material.
