    I love this camera. It's my baby. I've used canon camera's across the board and found this to be a natural transition from film. Has loads of fun features but can be used on auto when you just want to take a picture instead of creating art. Nice and light but solid. Travels as well as any SLR will, I use a junkie point and shoot digital when i'm just going to take random non-artsy picts though so i don't have to worry about my baby getting hurt or lost. The included lens is really nice if you get the kit. It goes to a pseudo-wide angle setting so you can get tons in or zoom up for close ups. If you're going to be doing a lot of different settings, canon offers a lot of flexible lens. I did a lot of research and I think this really is one of the best ones out there for amateur enthusiasts.
