Beautiful and comfortable set, BUT...
- The padded cushions retain water long after rain even though they seem dry to the touch. (You'll find yourself and guests suddenly jumping up and exclaiming: "This seat's wet!")
- Rusty areas appeared immediately around all the welds in the chairs after the first rain.
- If spite of careful assembly to make sure the chairs sat solidy on the floor, several now wobble just like the display set in the store did.
We now wish we had not purchased this set. Not functional and not worth the money.

The patio set is beautiful looking on my patio, but 3 months into it I noticed rust spots on the chairs at assembly points and then a couple of weeks ago the umbrella broke. Would not recommend this set considering I can't return anything now and can't find a manufacturer website.

We bought this table in April 2011. It has held up well but today I wake up to go outside like I usually do and my table top has shattered into a million pieces all over the deck. The chairs are becoming rusty in the joint/welded areas of the chairs and they do retain quite a bit of water after raining. I didnt expect after a such short time I would already be looking into replacing the table top. *sigh*
Now, that I think about it I would recommend staying away from tempered glass products. They have a habit of shattering when you least expect it.

We purchased this table ~4 weeks ago. It is quite beautiful on first inspection and price was reasonable. However, this weekend, my children and husband were sitting around the table when the glass top suddenly shattered into thousands of pieces and both my husband and the boys received small cuts covering their feet and legs. Not into large pieces, but into shards of glass everyone. It literally exploded with no warning, no one touching the table, and no warning.

After further research (do a google search) this is a common defect of this glass-top table. It should no longer be sold for safety reasons, yet Meijer still supports this product. We pursued and anticipated we would receive a full refund and a warranty honored. However, Meijer has proven to be extremely difficult, would not honor the warranty, and was willing to reimburse a very small amount of the cost ($50 when originally much more expensive).

Very unacceptable service for a product which they claim to to stand by. We will take our business and personal safety elsewhere in the future - highly recommend you do the same. Very disappointing - even more than the cost (clearly a consideration) but more importantly is that this product has not been pulled from the market. We were lucky we got away with a big dent in our pocketbooks and some cuts on legs and feet - someone is going to get hurt much more seriously and Meijer will have no excuse - they were told by many and they knew. Shame on them.

I was very upset after just two weeks the table shattered every. It seems that due to the warm weather the glass didnt hold up. What a mess and very dangerous. Be careful if you have this table.

We love this patio set. it is beautiful and so comfortable to sit in. The assembly was a piece of cake. The only downside is that the umbrella didn't come with a cover.

I, like the other reviewer looked for several years to find a table and chairs that I wanted. This set was beautiful,comfortable, and exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, the weekend I bought it, one of my chairs was stolen. Never did find it. I couldn't put it away for the winter because of its size, but it seemed to weather ok. The chairs did seem to rust quickly in the tiny joint areas on the arms and the padding on the chairs takes a REALLY long time to dry. I thought they would not hold water but boy, they sure do! We ended up with wet hineys more than once. With all the recent tornados, we decided to take the umbrella out for safety and when I put it back in the table, it shattered, not really from the umbrella dropping on it, but rather from me trying to reposition it in the stand, so be very careful when putting the umbrella in the stand. My heart is sad because I think it was a beautiful table, not sure whether I will buy another to replace it though......

I bought this set in May 2011 & used all last summer. It is a good set, easy to clean and the fabric dries fairly quickly after a rain. Early in the morning it's wet from dew, but the sun dries it pretty fast. Chairs are a little bulky & slightly hard to move, but they are super comfortable. The set was easy to put together - I had 2 friends help me & it took one afternoon. My worst complaint was that the umbrella crank broke by August 2011, only 3 months after buying it so I couldn't crank the umbrella up anymore. I took the umbrella back to Meijer & they refunded half of my cost, but now at the start of this summer, I have to buy another umbrella. And I'm debating buying another brand of umbrella this time. Other than that, I would suggest buying a cover for the set during the winter months...that's what I did to protect it. I wanted to store it in my attic for the winter but the chairs were too big. Oh, and lastly, the chairs started to rust on me shortly after I bought it, but only in small places on the arm rests. The rust is not too awful or noticeable, but was disappointing that it showed up so quickly. Now that I've written a novel for you, my opinion is that for the price, this is a decent set. I'm happy with it besides the umbrella breaking.

We purchased this set to go on our back deck. We loved it has soon has we saw it in the store. It had everything we were looking for & the price was just right. It was fairly easy to put together. My husband could have done it in a day but didn't have time to do all the chairs. It looks great once it is put together unfortunately, most of the chairs are wobbly. My husband is really good at putting things together but some of the parts were not made correctly so there was no way to fix them not to wobble. We said we could probably deal with that. However, one chair is actually visibly crooked in the back because one of the pre-drilled holes on the arm of the chair was a little off. We've only had it outside for one weekend so I may update my review once we've had it out for longer to tell you how it holds up.
