      This is the best, most well constructed shooting rest on the market. Easy to assemble. Rock solid shooting platform with easy fingertip windage and evelation adjustments. Large rigid shoting rails ensure stabality under heavy magnum recoil. Will hold up to 100lbs of weights to assure that your scope remains aligned on the target after each shot. Saves time and moeny at the shooting ranges by reducing the number of shots required to zero your rifle. You have tried the rest now buy the best!!!!

          If you have read an older review criticizing the windage adjustment or the front elevation adjustment - those reviews are obsolete. Caldwell has listened to their critics and fixed the problem. The DFT is an extremely rigid recoil-reducing rest that accommodates both military style firearms with long magazines and lever action rifles as well as other types. I used it with 2 sandbags for weight (not as effective as lead) and found it comfortable with a very light .45-70 guide gun and a .300 Win Mag bolt action. The precision of adjustment allows for a 2-shot sight-in procedure which could not be simpler. The precision further resulted in ragged single hole groups at 100 yards with 4 different rifles. I don't know if this is the best shooting rest since it is the only one I own, but it is certainly excellent. I would recommend this product to anyone I like.
