BUNN BTX-BD ThermoFresh High Altitude 10-Cup Home Thermal Carafe Coffee Brewer
Specifically designed for use in high-altitude areas, this special version of the BUNN BTX-B offers BUNN brewing perfection with the convenience and consistency of a thermal carafe. Patterned after BUNN's commercial and restaurant brewing systems, this home brewer puts high quality materials and classic brewing technology into one great package. The stainless-steel tank holds the brew water at approximately 200°F, the temperature required to extract the maximum flavor from coffee. The unique BUNN brewing system showers the water over the ground coffee using a specially designed sprayhead to create optimum turbulence in the funnel for just the right amount of time. As a result, BUNN home brewers produce 10 cups of perfect coffee in about 3 minutes - less than half the time of most regular coffee makers. This combination of "time, temperature, and turbulence" is the hallmark of BUNN's home brewing system - and something unavailable in any other home brewer.

    This is a great pot! The coffee is kept warm without a warmer so it doesn't get burnt or hard. It also does not use the usual way of warming the water by passing it through a small tube in the warmer which always gets mineral deposits and plugs up. It keeps the water warm in the back and will never slow down as all other pots do when the heating tube plugs up. This one works differently. It will out last 3-4 other coffee makers. Very good value.

    I love bunn, and am going to purchase a different model. It was love at first site with this model.(But) The decanter has always leaked when pouring a cup of coffee! It makes loud noises when reheating. ( delimed!) Then, just had it one year now, and it is not working right. I pour in enough water for 6 cups of coffee, and it makes enough coffee for 10!!! Plus it has started leaking from behind the filter basket through a tiny whole where the heating element is contained. I assume it won't work at all once element shorts out. Very disappointed....

      I use the coffeepot at least once a day, not just to make coffee but for hot water for tea also. I just have to remember not to close the lid until I'm ready for the pot to brew! The Bunn can brew the whole pot in under 3 minutes, so you don't really need a timer. The carafe can keep the coffee hot for hours. I am very happy with the coffeepot so far.

          This coffee maker is not for the weekend drinker. It has a reservoir to keep the water hot for a fast brewed pot. So you would either lose water in the tank from evaporation or you would have to wait for it to heat up.

            I have had many coffee makers that have timers, clocks, and look great on the counter. This coffee maker doesn't have any of these things. It just makes a great pot of coffee very fast, very quiet, and stays hot in the thermal carafe for up to three hours. What more can a person want?

              As I was shopping for a new coffee maker a gentlman in the store suggested I buy the bunn and would not be sorry. He told me it made great coffee in 3 minutes. I was hesitant beings how I never had used a bunn before. I bought it thinking I would be returning it, but it is still on my counter making great hot, fast coffee everyday. If it ever stops working I will replace it with another

              I love how this coffee stays warm but doesn't get burnt taste. No heater to shut off.
              Best of all it doesn't run water through a small tube in the heater so it doesn't plug up as it ages. Unbreakable pot. Never needs replacing.
