This vacuum works great for getting the dog hair off of the floor and carpet, and on most of our furniture. The only thing it's not great on is fabric with a woven pattern. Dog hair gets stuck in the woven fabric of our couch, and it's still hard to pick up with the Pet Hair Eraser. If your furniture has a smooth fabric, this vacuum is great - if you have more of a weave, I'd try something else.

I use this to pick up litter that gets tracked out of litter box and to clean up debris from our iguana's enclosure. It sucks it all up and empties very easily. Would have preferred cordless, but this works better than any cordless and it has a very long cord with an attached velcro strip so I can easily bundle it back up before I put it back on its shelf. I am buying another one today so I have one upstairs and down.

I use this vacuum to remove the cat hair on my microfiber couch and it works really well!
