i have 3 dogs one long hair whom sheads a coat a day and this vacume picks it all up it all up. It has many of tools to help you not only do the floors but also furniture!It is also an easy set up. It is a little heavy but it has good suction that help with that!I love this vacume it grabs everything the first time so theres no extra work needed! Im so happy i got this one!!

I suspect that all the good reviews are from people still in the honeymoon phase with this vacuum. Yes, it works great the first few months, but mine barely lasted a year before it became a liability. As some of the other reviewers noted, dirt, pet hair, etc. get trapped in the top part of the removable compartment, which means that it spills dirt all over itself (and your floor) when you try to empty it. The hose is easily clogged and not fun to try to unclog, and mine has also mysteriously lost a great deal of its suction in the 2 years since I bought it. This is a local company, and they do good things in the community, so I would like to support them, but they HAVE TO put out a better product than this! I am not willing to replace my vacuum every year.

this vaccum worked graet for the first week after that the height adjustment broke and you can ot longermove it from high to low therefore it does not sweep anything. dont waste your time or money on this product.

We bought this as a gift, we usually don't purchase cleaning/appliances for gifts but this was requested by our son/daughter-in-law. They have 4 cats, 2 dogs, and a 2 year old son. This has, so far, been a very great buy.

How this vacuum is getting such good ratings is beyond me. This is by far the worst vacuum I have ever used. The hatred I have for this vacuum cannot be explained! The suction is awful, when you vacuum the hair completely bypasses the canister and goes directly up into the top filter. You have to clean out each and every part everytime you vacuum ONE room. I literally have to vacuum my vacuum to try to clean up all the dirt and hair that gets stuck in the top filter. It can't pick up ANYTHING that isn't dog hair. TO SAVE YOUR SANITY, don't buy this vacuum!!!!

First of all let me say this is the worst vacuum I have ever owned and I would not a recommended this for anyone who actually owns pets. Nice marketing plan but horrible design. The biggest problem is the canister design. Dog hair and dirt get trapped in the top part of the canister. To empty the bottom part of the canister comes off so when you open it up hair and dirt fall out all over your vacuum and clean floor. Then getting the rest of the hair and dirt out of the top of the canister is chore and makes a huge mess. Seriously do not spend your money on this. If you are in Austin, TX I will give you mine, That is if you can get here before I poor gas on it and light it on fire to put us both out of our misery.

With 3 cats and a small one bedroom in a big city, this is a great vaccum! A little on the big side for apartment living, but if you have a big closet, totally worth it.

The gadgets it comes with is what I love the most. The different attachment for the hose are great for all the different needs of cleaning up cat hair.

If you are a neat freak with animals, this is the vacuum for you!

I bought this vacuum since I have 3 long haired cats and really wanted a vacuum that specializes in pet hair! Also, I had surgery on my ankle and I really need a lightweight vacuum - this is just a pleasure to use, it's so lightweight I can lift it with just 1 finger-and going up and down stairs is a breeze! It really sucks up all my pet hair-and I enjoy the attachment so I can use it on my furniture as well. KUDOS TO BISSELL - I really don't have anything bad to say - I guess, if I had to choose one thing, I wish the container that empties was a little bigger so I didn't have to change it as often, but I only say that because I'm lazy -but really, it's a great vacuum and I am very glad I bought this one after not being happy with my last 3 vacuums!

We just bought this vacuum yesterday to replace a 2 year old Eureka. So far, after sweeping my entire house, I love it! It seems to get all the pet hair up. We have 3 cats and a 18 month old, so our house is always messy. But this vacuum gets everything. I did a lot of research on several vacuums, and this one got the best reviews that I saw. I am so happy with it. Plus, it comes with a 3-year limited warranty. Which is better than other vacuums I think. I'm very happy with it. I like that all the tools are right there, they all fit on the machine. The dirt can is a bit on the small side, but that's ok, because you can see what is being pulled out of your carpet, which is amazing. After the first use, i took the dirt cup and the cyclone thing and rinsed them in the sink to get all the dirt off and they are clean and ready for the next use.
