Ingredients: Sugar, Enriched Flour Bleached (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (Sugar, Chocolate Liquor, Cocoa Butter, Milkfat, Soy Lecithin, Artificial Flavor), Corn Syrup, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and/or Cottonseed Oil, Cocoa Processed with Alkali, Corn Starch, Salt, Leavening (Baking Soda, Sodium Aluminum Phosphate), Molasses, Carob Powder, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Color Added, Artificial Flavor.
Do not eat raw bar batter. You Will Need: For Brownie Batter add 2 tablespoons water, 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter, margarine or spread (If using spread, use one that has more than 65% vegetable oil), melted, and 1 egg. For Cookie Dough add 1 tablespoon water, 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter, margarine or spread (If using spread, use one that has more than 65% vegetable oil), softened. 1. Heat oven to 325°F. Grease (or use cooking spray) bottom of pan. 2. Stir Brownie Mix, 2 tablespoons water, melted butter, and egg in medium bowl until well branded. Spread in pan. 3. Stir Cookie Mix, 1 tablespoon water, and softened butter in medium bowl until soft dough forms. Drop cookie dough by rounded teaspoonfuls evenly onto brownie batter. 4. Bake as directed below or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean and cool. To cut warm bars easily, cut with plastic knife using short sawing motions. Store tightly covered. For 8 inch x 8 inch shiny metal or glass pan bake 50-51 minutes. For 8 inch x 8 inch dark or nonstick pan bake 43-44 minutes. For 9 inch x 9 inch pan bake 42-44 minutes. For 11 inch x 7 inch pan bake 40-41 minutes. Betty's Tips: For 13 x 9-inch pan, use 2 boxes of mix for best results and double all ingredients. Bake shiny metal or glass pan 51 to 52 minutes. Bake dark or nonstick pan 44-45 minutes. If using only 1 box in 13x9-inch pan, bake shiny metal or glass pan 34 to 35 minutes. Bake dark or nonstick pan 26 to 27 minutes. High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): For 1 box, stir 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour into dry brownie mix. For 2 boxes in 13 x 9-inch pan, stir 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour into dry brownie mix.
