- Ingredients: Sugar, Enriched Flour Bleached (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Chocolate Flavored Syrup (High Fructose Corn Syrup, Corn Syrup, Sugar, Water, Cocoa, Salt, Mono and Diglycerides, Polysorbate 60 [an Emulsifier], Xanthan Gum and Vanillin), Cocoa Processed with Alkali, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and/or Cottonseed Oil. - You will need: 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 1 egg. 1. Heat oven to 350°F for shiny metal pan or 325°F for dark nonstick or glass pan. Grease (or use cooking spray) bottom of pan. 2. Stir Brownie Mix pouch of Hershey's syrup, water, oil, and egg in medium bowl until well blended. Spread in pan. 3. Bake as directed below or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean; cool. To cut warm brownies easily cut with plastic knife using sawing motions. Store tightly covered. Pan size/bake time (in minutes): 8 x 8 inch/42-45; 9x9 inch/34-37; 11x7 inch/31-34. Betty's Tips: For thinner brownies: Bake in 13x9 inch pan 23-25 minutes. For Cakelike Brownies: Use 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, and 2 eggs. High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Stir 1 tbsp all-purpose flour into dry brownie mix. Make brownies using 1/2 cup water, 3 tbsp oil, and 1 egg for regular brownies, 2 eggs for cakelike brownies. Bake 8x8 inch 45-48 min 9x9 inch 37-40 min 11x7 inch 34-37 min 13x9 inch 25-28 min.
