- Ingredients: Sugar, Enriched Flour Bleached (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Cocoa Processed with Alkali, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and/or Cottonseed Oil, Corn Starch, Salt, Distilled Monoglycerides, Leavening (Baking Soda, Monocalcium Phosphate), Artificial Flavor, Nonfat Milk.
- You Will Need: 1-1/2 Cup water, 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 Egg. 1. Heat oven to 350°F for shiny metal or glass pan or 325°F for dark or nonstick pan. Spray with cooking spray (or grease) bottom of pan. 2. Stir Brownie Mix, water, oil, and egg in Medium bowl until well blended. Spread in pan. 3. Bake as directed (If using dark or nonstick pan, shorten bake time by 2 min) or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean and cool. To cut brownies easily, cut with plastic knife using short sawing motions. Store tightly covered. Thick 13 x 9 inch Pan Size: 26-28 Bake time (in minutes). Thicker 11 x 7 inch Pan Size: 44-46 Bake time (in minutes). Thickest 9 x 9 inch Pan Size: 41-43 Bake time (in minutes). Betty's Tip: For a special treat, top brownie with a scoop of vanilla fat-free ice cream and chocolate sauce. High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Grease bottom and sides of pan nd lightly flour. Stir 3 Tbsp flour into dry brownie mix. No-Cholesterol Recipe: Make batter using 1 tablespoon oil, 1/2 cup water, and 1/4 cup fat-free egg product or 1 egg white. As prepared, one serving provides 140 calories (25 calories from fat), 2.5 g fat (0.5 g saturated, 0.5 g trans, 0.5 g polyunsaturated, 1 g monounsaturated) and 0 mg cholesterol.
