Origin: Rigatoni is one of the most commonly used pastas in southern and Central Italy. Shape: Rigatoni, a wide, ridged, tube shaped pasta, have holes large enough to capture pieces of meat or vegetables in sauces. They have ridges which allow them to hold more sauce. Ideal sauce: Rigatoni is ideal for meat or vegetable sauces and is also perfect for baked dishes made with sauce and cheese. - Ingredients: Semolina, Durum Flour, Niacin, (Ferrous Sulfate), Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid.
- Directions: Bring 4-6 quarts of water to a rolling boil. Add salt to taste, if desired. Add contents of package to boiling water. Stir gently. Return to a boil. For al dente pasta, boil uncovered, stirring occasionally for 15 minutes. For more tender pasta, boil an additional minute. Remove from heat; Drain well. Serve immediately with your favorite Barilla Sauce. For salads: Rinse with cold water after draining. To prepare half package: Use 3 quarts of water. Cook according to directions above.
