I just started working for a very conservative state agency in the security area, and as a breast cancer survivor, have embraced Barbie as my idol. I have pink Barbie calendars, sticky notes, pens, cards, and of course, dolls for every occasion. I buy several every month. This month, I gifted the Computer Engineer Barbie to my new boss, and he opened it in front of clients, and it was the biggest hit ever! He accepted it with good grace and charm, and I believe it raised his estimate of me and my creativity in a very buttoned-down environment. Barbie wins again!

Since I am a computer engineer, I immediately wanted this doll! My women's engineering group sent out an announcement about the doll. She if very cute and I like the pink computer. I think a doll like this will encourage girls to consider a career in engineering. My company, like many others, has a program to make engineering exciting to children. Girls, especially, need encouragement, because this is not a field that many girls have ever considered. So I am glad that Barbie is a good role model.

We wonder why girls don't excel in math and science. Why not use Barbie to encourage them! I bought this doll for my niece to show that women can be computer experts just like her dad.

Finally! Let's get girls excited about being bright! Other than the sparkle-y leggings which aren't quite office appropriate, I love the gadgets and hope young girls do to. I support Mattel's efforts to keep girls (and boys) recognizing that engineering is a great future to aspire to.

This is one of my girls favorite Barbies. We had a terrible time trying to find it in the retail stores. Fortunately, it was available through the Mattel website and we were able to get it before Christmas. My girls love that it comes with a smart phone and laptop. Technology is a part of the new girl image and they embrace it. Good job Mattel - keep up the good work pushing math, science, and technology.

I bought this for my 19 year old daughter who is away at college majoring in computer engineering. She absolutely loved it and has her posing on a shelf in her dorm room. When she posted on facebook that we had gotten her a Computer Engineer Barbie people were amazed that there was such a thing! I think this was such a great idea for a Barbie and I hope there are many more like this. Thanks!

I really like the computer engineer Barbie. It's nice to find a doll that encourages a realistic, intelligent, hip role model for any young girl. My only disappointment was that I had to order it online because I couldn't find it in stores. Let's get this on the shelves where the girls can see it!!

Love the doll. Great role model for kids. Really liked the little extras like the computer and carrying case which are just like Mommys gear. I bought a bunch of these dolls to give to all the Barbie fans in family/friends.

We love this Barbie. My daughter is 21 and in school to become an industrial engineer. We have always been a collector of Holiday Barbies. She loves it.
