      My daughters received 2 of these for Christmas. One has needed its hand put back in 5+ times in the last 2 weeks. The other one's knee joint posts are tearing the leg material. They have both wanted barbies for quite a while and were excited to receive them. I have never seen my children play more carefully with a toy than they do with their Babies. But in the 2-3 weeks since christmas, 4 of the 6 Barbies they received are broken.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

          When I first saw this doll, her outfit caught my eye. In fact, I was going to use the outfit for my Blythe doll, and sell the Barbie as a bait doll, or donate it to the Salvation Army. However, once I got her home, and out of her packaging, I realized how much she reminded me of Kate Hudson, so i decided to keep her just the way she is! This doll makes a great addition to any collection, whether for play or display! Matty recommends this doll for anyone over the age of 3, and I agree with that recommendation, as long as care is used with the smaller parts! With her articulated joints, Summer is sure to be a hit! If you DO decide to bring her home, I hope you enjoy her as much as I do! Thanks for reading! =^..^=

              Just what I needed to make dresses for...I crochet dresses in the period of the 1800's with sequins and beads...the dolls just complete the beauty.
