All natural Alessi Pasta Sauce tastes homemade because it's made like the Alessi's make it at home. Fresh garlic and onion are sauteed in Alessi extra virgin olive oil. Strained Sicilian pear shaped tomatoes and fresh basil leaf are then added. The tomatoes are picked from the fields of Sicily in their prime; juicy, red and vine-ripened. The sauce is then seasoned with Alessi sea salt and cooked only enough to preserve the fresh tomato taste and t marry the flavors. • Our Alessi Pasta Sauce is best when heated to the point of being ready to serve. Overheating results in the continuation of cooking and changes the flavor. Heat in a medium, heavy bottomed pan and serve over cooked al dente pasta. Top with fresh basil leaves and freshly grated cheese, if desired. Refrigerate after opening.
