Adesso Sphere Table Lamp

For centuries, Chochin, or Japanese paper lanterns, have lit the homes, temples, and businesses of the island. These collapsible bamboo frames wrapped with rice paper to protect the flame of the candle within, are hung from a hook in the top of the lantern. Drawing on this tradition, Adesso has created the Sphere Table Lamp, a contemporary take on the ancient Chochin lantern. Two curved metal poles finished in an antique bronze color hang 2 traditionally constructed Chochin.
