    I will admit to not having used these yet for one of their intended purposes; noise cancelling on aircraft etc.,but I surmise they will work as well as any given the technology and the great seal around the ears. Without an owner's manual, I haven't yet installed the batteries which point out the ability to use the audio function of the product WITHOUT batteries or after the batteries die. They aren't Klipsch speakers, but will bring out aspects of your music that you may not have heard before with lesser headphones, ear buds or speakers. The case is a hard-shell-ish, fabric-covered one that has a place for everything and should stand up to some heavy mishandling. Well-thought out product...now, about the owner's manual....

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
