      We were looking for an umbrella at the end of season and couldn't find anything locally. I found this umbrella on another site (a discount site) but Meijer had the best price by far.
      The umbrella is fabulous. It's sturdy (although we don't get high winds where we are), the pole seems well made and strong, and the umbrella is a lovely color.
      If I were forced to find areas for improvement I would say that since the tilt is only in one direction you have to turn the whole umbrella as the sun moves, which isn't as easy as it sounds and the pre-drilled holes for this purpose don't allow enough precision for sun blocking. There are no instructions which in other reviews I've read online was an issue; I didn't find it to be an issue, assembly was pretty straight forward and tilt was simple to figure out. This and the fact that we have only had the umbrella for a month are the only reasons I didn't give 5 stars. In a year, if it's still in good condition, it would deserve 5 stars regardless of the tilt issue.
      All in all, we are truly enjoying our umbrella and our experience (our first experience) with Meijer was great!

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        This umbrella is durable and comes in this beautiful fun festive red olefin fabric. Its a snap to tilt and you can angle it as much as you want. It isn't waterproof but if its raining, why would you be out in the first place? In this price bracket, it's a smart buy for sure. I would recommend it to anyone.
