Comments about 26-Inch Pacific Tucson Mens Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike:

I rode this bike twice. The first was a short test, to make sure everything was working correctly, for about 10 minutes. The next was for no more than an hour. These were on roads and not off-road. Right before I was done with the second trip the gear shifter on the right handlebar broke on the inside because it is made of cheap thin plastic. I noticed that when I put hard pressure on the pedals the chain would not catch and would miss causing my feet to shoot forward cutting up my calves on the pedals themselves. The bike seat would have probably been more comfortable if it was a piece of plywood. To top it all off the chain just won't stay in gear at all and will come off if I am even turning the pedals with my hand. I will never buy a Pacific bike again.

Bought this bike for my son for Christmas. He used it a few times in the spring and the rear hub fell apart! I cannot find a replacement part anywhere. Don't buy this bike!

Comments about 26-Inch Pacific Tucson Mens Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike:

Do your self a favor, at this price get a bike that is NOT full suspension. At this price range the bike is only good to ride around the block.

Take it to a mechanic to get it adjusted. It will probably cost as much to get it tuned up as the price of the whole bike. This bike will not last if you use it. Replacement part will cost more than the bike. THIS IS A DISPOSABLE bike

Don't give this bike as a gift, its junk

I got the bike for [$] total with shipping charges. [...] has it for $120 and it was out of stock. It's a great bike, 2 concerns, there's not enough cushion on the seat which makes a rough ride. 2. I had too adjust the brakes and gears, the gears are so complicated to adjust cause it was way off.

[...] Chain came off several times during the first time i rode it. When shifting gears, you pretty much have to completely stop or it will lock up. Seat VERY uncomfortable. Brakes hard to use. When riding, pedals are very hard to push even on 1st gear.

Brought it home, made sure that all the bolts were tight enough to go for a ride. On the first ride down my street just to make sure everything worked. the front chain derailer broke the chain guard and the chain slipped off the rear sprocket 3 times.

Comments about 26-Inch Pacific Tucson Mens Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike:

I've had this bike about 1 year. I was looking for a cheap bike to go from my house to campus each day, a distance of about 2 miles on sidewalks. Within a week, both brakes had worn down completely. I replaced these with better quality pads from a bike shop, at a cost of $50. Still, they are constantly requiring adjustment, and sometimes they give out completely (the cables slip off from the frame when you squeeze the brake handles). The front shifter no longer works. The tires need air every 2 days and the seat is uncomfortable. In summary, it's poorly made, heavy, unsafe, and a pain in the neck. Do yourself a favor - spend more and get a better quality bike.

Worst bike i've ever owned, LITERALLY within the first 2 hours at Harbison State Forest in SC I had almost no brakes left and then trying to shift to a different gear i bent my derailer into my spoke and completely twisted it to piece and broke my axle in the rear in the process on flat smooth surface!! Not to mention the wheels were by no means true! I've never seen wheel that wobble so much hitting the brakes on every revolution .. the brakes that are so terrible don't try to adjust them because the are only capapble of getting worse! Please do not waist your money like it did ... keep in mind this is all in the first 2 hours of riding this bike after i put it together! So very completely dissapointed
