Mixes evenly and is so easy to clean! I love this mixer. The kitchen Aid Large Spatulas are a must. They are longerand contoured, so it makes it quick to scrape the bowl.

While I do not regret having purchased the mixer, I have found that I use my hand mixer and food processor more frequently to do similar tasks because of their portability and ease of clean up in comparison to this item.

I used a Sunbeam mixer for years and thought I was happy. It finally ran it's course and a KitchenAid was bought as a replacement. I have since become a VERY firm fan and would not trade it for ANYthing! It does all I need it to do and then some - and all of the attachments can go right into the dishwasher for easy clean up. It's a bit heavy, but I use mine so often that it stays out on the counter. To all cooks, I would say: Walk - don't run - to get one!

Anybody who loves to bake or spend time in the kitchen really would benefit from a Kitchen-Aid mixer. I don't know how I got along all these years without one. It's especially fabulous with stiff doughs. High speed, low speed, this thing does it all. It has so many attachments, you could use it every day. And it's beautiful, so storage isn't an issue, just put it on your countertop!

This is the one staple you should have in your kitchen. It is the Kitchenaid mixer your greatgrandmother used, I know mine did. In fact, I used the mixer from my great grandmother that was passed to my grandmother, my mother then to myself. I bought a new one when I passed the original to my neice and wanted a different color for my kitchen and I wished I would have kept it for my kids. I do holiday baking, large jobs, small jobs, breads, cakes, cookies, grinding meat, mixing ingredients for stuffing and a multitude of things all year long. It is heavy, but that is a pro - I want something that will last and not flop around the counter when it is on high. It may be hard to store for some, but I keep it on my counter at all times and I think it adds to the look of the kitchen, so why put it away. Friends that have borrowed mine, have ended up buying their own. I REAL cooks who make their recipes from scratch love this product, fake cooks do not.

My last Kitchen aid mixer lasted 20 years....I just purchased this one about 2 months ago and am very pleased with its operation. I bake a lot and this mixer never gets hot or seems overworked, even on very thick mixtures. Blending and mixing is very consistent and it is very simple to use and clean. The head locks so that it is easy to move and store. I would recommend Kitchen Aid to anyone considering a mixer.

I make alot of cookies for my grandchildren and their favoite is chocolate chip Reese's peanut butter chip cookies. I use two bags of each in the cookie dough and the Kitchen Aid mixer has no problem mixing the large amount of chips into the cookie dough. I've burned up alot of mixer with this recipe in the past, but the Kitchen Aid mixer handles it with ease.

This mixer is wonderful! It doesn't move when mixing, it easily powers through even the thickest food, and it doesn't overheat. The large bowl with a handle makes it much easier to secure on the stand and to pour. I highly recommend buying the Kitchenaid bowl scraper, as it is made to fit the contours of the bowl, has a long handle, and withstands high heat. I HIGLY recommend buying this mixer! I just wish I had bought one years ago!

However, it is not conducive to adding ingredients without stopping the mixer or putting on the plastic attachment in order to be able to add ingredients. This is one of the best investments in my kitchen! I can't say enough good about it. It runs smoothly, regardless of the density of the food. It doesn't overheat, or "walk" around. The bowl is deep, and I rarely make a mess. It isn't quiet, but it isn't as noisy as my last mixer. I store mine on my counter because I use it so often!(Suggestion: Buy the long handled KitchenAid spatula/bowl scraper because it "fits" the bowl so well.)

I am a current culinary student at GRCC. I have come to love my Kitchen Aid mixer because it is very heavy duty and well suited for all my "experiments" that I cook at home. The color I chose to go with is white because it is very easy to clean. There are a few different attachments that can hook up to your mixer, like for instance a pasta maker. You will definitely enjoy this item because of the great price and excellent quality. I highly recommend this mixer to anyone, even if you do not know how to cook very well.
