These passive speakers are designed to connect to a portable audio system, such as a CD Walkman or MP3 player, yet still deliver the same clear, vivid tones as much larger speakers. In the meantime, the 2-1/4" speaker bodies fit unobtrusively on a bookshelf, dresser, or desk, while storing compactly in a backpack or suitcase when on the move. The speakers are lightweight and distinctive, with circular shapes and small bulbous feet that keep them from tipping over. Listeners with a flair for accessorizing will appreciate the interchangeable white and silver faceplates, which lets people match the speakers to their players.

The speakers' audio derives from the 57 mm damper-less neodymium magnets, which produce a frequency response between 200Hz to 10kHz.
