Does Meijer deliver all over the US?

Luckily for those of you in the frozen tundra or the sun-drenched tropics, we make deliveries to all 50 states, so no matter if you make your home where the caribou roam or near the gentle slopes of majestic Mauna Loa, we've got you covered by offering several delivery choices for products that are in-stock and are shipped within the US.

Is the shipping time the same for Grocery items?

No. Grocery items are shipped using a different process and can only be shipped using Ground service. Please allow 6-10 business days for all grocery packages to arrive. Sorry, we cannot expedite Grocery orders.

My selection contains a food item, but I found it in a different section of Meijer.com. Do the Grocery shipping rules apply?

No. If you found your product outside the Grocery section of the Meijer.com site navigation, it will not follow the Grocery rules. Please use the above shipping chart to determine shipping time and expedited options.

What is Parcel Delivery?

Parcel delivery is your standard carrier delivery service, and while it may not be the royal treatment like our LTL (Special Delivery) service, that's not what it's all about.

  • Next Day Delivery - The items usually arrives to you within 3 business days from when they are processed
  • 2nd Day Delivery - The items usually arrives to you within 4 business days from when they are processed
  • Ground Delivery - The items are delivered to you within 6-10 business days from when they are processed

What's LTL (Special Delivery)?

Basically it's all about how special you want to feel (hence the name). LTL (Special Delivery) brings 2 caring delivery people to your place of residence that will drop off your order directly to you. But wait, it gets... uh, specialer. You can select from 3 levels of delivery service.

  • To Home service features fearless delivery personnel leaving the package in the garage or the first dry area they come to. This means that, unlike some standard services, your new big screen plasma will remain dry and functional. Hoo-rah. To Home doesn't include unpacking, assembly, or debris removal, but it there's no weight limit on the product delivered.
  • In Room upgrade, if you're feeling even more indulgent. This is where they bring the product right into your home to your specified room, including making the treacherous trek up or down as many as 2 flights of stairs. Assembly, unpacking, and debris removal are not included, but there is no item number or weight limits.
  • White Glove Delivery, for the ultimate in self-spoiling excess (and who doesn't need a little of that every once in a while?), choose this service. We couldn't tell you if the guys actually wear the aforementioned gloves, but the fact of the matter is that they bring your items into the room of your choice, unpack them, and remove the debris, and even give you 15 minutes of tool-free assembly. So when you order that new table and have no desire to put it together, choose white glove.

Are there more details about To home, In home or White Glove Delivery?

The items are usually oversized, or overweight for our Parcel carriers to deliver. They are delivered within 10-14 business days from when they are processed. The delivery carrier will contact you to arrange delivery time and delivery window. Lastly, Deliveries can only be made Monday through Friday 8am -5pm

What are the really fine delivery prints?

  • Surcharges - There is a surcharge attached to deliver LTL (Special Delivery) to 30 zip codes in the lower 48 states
  • Non-Delivery Areas - Our carriers will not deliver to PO/APO/FPO or Rural Routes
  • Signature Required - LTL (Special delivery) requires someone to be at home to sign, and other select items - regardless of shipping choice - require the recipient to be at home for signature.
  • Delivery Cost -
    • All delivery cost is shown up front. You can see it as early as the shopping cart or as late as the shipping page.
    • Deliver cost is non-refundable.
    • LTL items have a delivery return cost.
  • Processing time -
    • Orders may take up to 3 business days to process before they are shipped
    • Orders are only processed Monday through Friday, and are not processed after 3pm Eastern time on Friday
    • Credit card authorizations may delay processing time
    • Some items are specially made and require longer processing time

What if I'm not home when my package arrives?

If you've chosen LTL (Special Delivery), the carrier will call you to arrange a 4-hour window where you should be home to meet the delivery staff. If you miss a Parcel delivery, you'll get the standard note on the door telling you when they plan to come back, or where you can pick up the package.

Can I have my package shipped COD?

We don't offer cash on delivery (COD) services or accept checks for online purchases. However, we happily accept our Meijer MasterCard, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

NOTE: Only items delivered by a FedEx or UPS can be returned to a Meijer store. If you refused delivery of a package from any of our carriers, please notify us immediately.
