What are the Meijer Shipping and Delivery Methods?

We ship most items within 2-4 business days after you place your order. However, some items take longer to process before they ship. Please refer to the "Usually processes in" section on the product details page; this can range from 2-42 business days.

  • Standard Delivery: Items usually arrive within 3-7 business days after we ship.
  • 2nd Day Delivery: Items usually arrive within 3 business days after we ship.
  • Next Day Delivery: Items usually arrive within 2 business days after we ship.
  • Special Delivery (At Home, In Room, White Glove): Items usually arrive within 10-14 business days after we ship. Some remote, rural, and ferry locations may take up to 21 business days.

What is Special Delivery?

Special Delivery is the shipping method we use when your order requires an appointment-based delivery service. This type of shipping is used for certain heavy, breakable, or bulky items like TVs and furniture.

Our preferred carrier for Special Delivery services is Manna Distribution Services; however, there are circumstances where an alternate carrier may be necessary. If this happens, you will be notified either by phone or email with details.

How Does Special Delivery Work?

Once your order is processed, Manna will contact you to schedule your delivery date and time window - either by phone or email. If you're contacted by email, this means you're eligible for self scheduling. All the details will be provided in the email.

Special Deliveries are done Monday through Friday between 8am and 4pm. Your delivery appointment will be scheduled in a 4-hour window (example: 8am-12pm or 12-4pm). Please keep in mind that an adult, age 18 or older, must be at home to accept and sign for your delivery. Manna will only wait 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment before considering it a missed appointment.

Please note: 1) Manna does not deliver on weekends, holidays, or hours outside of 8am-4pm. 2) Manna sends a customer survey via email shortly after they make the delivery.

What are the different service levels for Special Delivery?

There are 3 Special Delivery service levels:

  • At Home (Threshold Plus): The carrier will position your item(s) just inside the preferred entrance to your home (example, just inside the front door or side door). At Home delivery does not include unpacking, assembly, or debris removal.
  • In Room (White Glove): The carrier will bring your item(s) into the room of your choice, unpack it/them, and remove all debris. In Room delivery does not include assembly.
  • White Glove (White Glove with Assembly): The carrier will bring your item into the room of your choice, unpack it, remove the debris, and perform 30 minutes of tool-free assembly.
  • Choose this option if you need mattress removal or complete product assembly.

Please note: All service levels include 2 delivery people and weight limit restrictions are never imposed on the item(s) being delivered.

How do I schedule my Special Delivery?

If your shipment is eligible for self-scheduling, Manna will send you an email with a tracking number, security code, and webpage link. Once you click on the webpage link, you'll arrive at a scheduling page - simply follow the instructions. If you have technical difficulties or experience any issue clicking on the link, visit www.schedulemydelivery.com.

Most shipments are eligible for self-scheduling, but select geographic locations may not be eligible. If you're not eligible for self-scheduling, Manna will call you to schedule your delivery at the phone number you provided to Meijer. If you didn't save your scheduling email or didn't receive a phone call to schedule your delivery, please call Manna at 1-877-626-6249 to schedule your delivery, Monday-Friday between 7am-11pm CST and on Saturday 8am-12pm CST.

After you've scheduled your delivery, you'll receive a confirmation email from Manna confirming the details of your shipment. Please save this email for future reference.

Are there circumstances where I may be charged extra for Special Delivery?

Yes, there are several which will be charged to your credit card after delivery:
  • Address Correction: If you provide an incomplete or incorrect address, there will be a $10 additional charge per shipment.
  • Re-routing Fees: If the incorrect address you provided increases the cost of shipping the product to you, there will also be a charge for the additional freight incurred by Meijer.com. *Fee varies by shipping location and package size/weight.
  • Non-Residential Location Charge: If you have your order delivered to a trade show, hotel, motel, convention, hospital, or military base, your order will incur an additional charge of $50.
  • Order Cancellation: If you cancel any order after it's been transferred to Manna, your order will incur an additional $15 charge per shipment.
  • Cancellation in-transit: If you cancel your order while it's en route, you may be subject to a return fee and will not be eligible for a refund of your shipping charges.
  • Attempted Delivery/Missed Appointments: In the event your delivery is scheduled and you're not present to receive the shipment, you'll be charged a $50 fee.
  • Remote Area Charge: Shipments to certain ZIP codes will receive an additional charge of $100. These are areas that require the use of special equipment to provide service, including locations that require ferry delivery. Please refer to this list of ZIP codes:

  • Storage Charge: If you miss your appointment, you'll be charged $5 per day for storage, beginning the second day after the missed appointment.

How do I track my order?

  1. Click here to go to your Order Status

    • a. Sign in if you have a Meijer.com account, or
      b. Enter your Order Number and Zip Code. It can be found in your confirmation email.
          (If you haven't received your confirmation email, please check your Spam folder.)


  2. Click on the Order Number for the item you wish to track.
  3. Click the Tracking Number for the item (Tracking Number is available only after the product has been marked "Shipped").
If the status of your item is "Shipped" and no tracking information is available, please note:
  • It may take up to 24 hours for Meijer.com to update tracking information.
  • It may take up to 72 hours to track packages shipped using UPS Mail Innovations.
  • Some products ship from overseas and use international tracking numbers. Tracking information will not appear for those orders until your item(s) leave the US hub.
  • Please allow up to 10 business days for delivery on most items.
  • Oversized items require special delivery arrangements and will be delivered within 10-14 business days. Some remote, rural, and ferry locations may take up to 21 business days.

*If your order confirmation email indicates your package has been shipped using UPS, your order may have been shipped using UPS or UPS Mail Innovations. You can try tracking your package at both websites.

Does Meijer deliver all over the US?

Yes, Meijer.com delivers most products to all 50 states and offers several delivery options. Unfortunately, we can't ship to P.O. boxes, Rural Routes, APOs, or FPOs. We also cannot ship Grocery items to Hawaii or Alaska. We can ship Special Delivery to Hawaii & Alaska, however these shipments can take up to 4-6 weeks for delivery and additional costs apply.

Not all delivery methods are available for all items, and some items require a specific delivery method (for example, most bed mattresses ship only by Special Delivery).

Can I ship my order to more than one address if I have multiple items?

Unfortunately, no, you cannot ship to multiple addresses with one order. You'll need to create separate orders to ship to separate addresses.

I ordered quite a few items. Will they all arrive together?

In order to ship your order as quickly as possible, we'll send the items out as each becomes available, so if you ordered more than one item, they may arrive separately and on separate days.

What if I'm not home when my package arrives?

If you miss a parcel delivery, you'll get the standard note on the door telling you when they plan to come back, or where you can pick up the package. Most standard deliveries are left at your front door or with your apartment office if applicable. If your order is shipping Special Delivery (To Home, In Room or White Glove), the carrier will call you to arrange a 4-hour window where you should be home to meet the delivery staff.

Are there any special conditions on your standard shipping offers?

Yes. Standard shipping offers are only available for qualifying Meijer.com online purchases. Special pricing or offers are good only while supplies last. Please see our Special Offers Page for current special pricing and offer details and exclusions.

Can I have my package shipped COD?

No, we don't offer cash on delivery (COD) services or accept checks for online purchases. However, we happily accept our Meijer MasterCard, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

How do I return products that I'm not satisfied with?

Is the shipping time the same for Grocery items?

No. Grocery items are shipped using a different process and can only be shipped using standard service. Please allow 5-7 business days for all Grocery packages to arrive. Sorry, we can't ship Grocery orders to Hawaii and Alaska.

My selection contains a food item, but I found it in a different section of Meijer.com. Do the Grocery shipping rules apply?

No. If you found your product outside the Grocery section of the Meijer.com site navigation, it will not follow the Grocery rules UNLESS it is pet food or baby food products. Please use the above shipping chart to determine shipping time and expedited options.

My order never arrived - now what?

We know it can be frustrating when an order doesn't arrive when you expect it. The first step to finding your package is to track it. Click here for order tracking instructions. If your tracking information shows that your package has been delivered, please check with a neighbor, co-worker, or building manager. Occasionally packages are left with someone who has accepted it on your behalf. It may also have been left at your front door, garage, or tucked out of plain view someplace nearby.

If your order is past the delivery timeframe and is listed as shipped but you can't find it, or there isn't any tracking information in your Order History, please contact Customer Service at 1-877-E-MEIJER (1-877-363-4537) for assistance.
